Find your
ground.

37 years across clinical nutrition, financial services, and professional coaching.

You've tried to fix this before. Diet. Budget. New job. New city. New start.

True stability comes from building a foundation designed to handle uncertainty.

Chaos has patterns. Patterns can be changed.

My work isn't coaching. I diagnose the system underneath the exhaustion: how your health, your finances, and your sense of purpose are connected, where the pattern breaks down, and what actually needs to change.

Then we fix it.

How It Works

Resilience is not a single attribute.
It's a system.

When everything around you feels like noise, trying to control the external world usually leads to burnout because chaos, by definition, is unpredictable. When you view resilience through the lens of Health, Wealth, and Wisdom, it ceases to be an abstract psychological trait and becomes something you can actually build.

Pillar 01
Health
The bedrock of capacity

The Pattern

Chaos hits the nervous system first. When uncertainty spikes, cortisol surges, decision-making degrades, and energy plummets. Resilience here is capacity management.

Intervention
Order through physiology. Consistent sleep, movement, and nutrition act as physical anchors, stabilizing your baseline so you don't panic under stress.
Somatic flexibility. Learning to breathe, sit with discomfort, and reset your nervous system when the external world accelerates.
The Antidote

Regulating what goes into your body and mind so you maintain stamina and focus when conditions worsen.

Pillar 02
Wealth
Option value and margin of safety

The Pattern

In financial and material contexts, chaos appears as market volatility, job instability, or unexpected disruptions. Resilience here is optionality and risk insulation.

Intervention
Redundancy over efficiency. Building buffers — cash reserves, diversified income streams, and low burn rates — so a sudden shock doesn't wipe you out.
Adaptable skillsets. Building transferable skills that remain valuable regardless of market shifts.
The Antidote

Designing systems with built-in margins of safety so chaos creates opportunities rather than catastrophic failures.

Pillar 03
Wisdom
The steering mechanism

The Pattern

Wisdom is the governing layer that interprets raw experience and guides action. Without wisdom, health is wasted and wealth is mishandled under pressure. Resilience here is clarity of thought.

Intervention
Pattern recognition. Recognizing that chaos and cycle shifts are normal historical constants, not unexpected anomalies. This prevents emotional overreaction.
Discernment of agency. Separating what is within your control — your actions, character, and choices — from what is not.
The Antidote

Anchoring yourself to timeless principles and core values so you stay oriented even when your environment is disorienting.

What Clients Say

In their own words.

"When Paula asked me if I'd be interested in being assessed by her new set of tools, I was not expecting anything revelatory. After all, I'm in a 12 step group, I'm in therapy every week with a solid therapist, and I work pretty hard on my health — mental and physical. I finally have the job I've wanted most of my career, I make enough money. And then I got my assessment, and Paula had unearthed a pattern that I hadn't understood before — that when it comes to managing my money, health, and work, the most important of those activities are hard for me to start. I always de-prioritize those things in favor of what is more urgent. Since my sessions with Paula, I've started a new strength regimen workout, engaged a financial advisor, and have stopped procrastinating when it comes to these 'I really need to do this for ME' activities. I'm planning to start a new work venture as well — something creative and exciting. Paula's method works — and, the bonus is, you get to work with Paula herself. One of the most brilliant and engaging people I've ever known."

"Before working with Paula, I felt simultaneously high-functioning and completely trapped in my own head. On paper, my life looked successful, but internally I was exhausted by anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, and this constant feeling that I needed to 'earn' my worth through performance. I had spent years in traditional talk therapy and understood why I was anxious, but I still felt stuck in the same loops. What surprised me most about the diagnostic process was how quickly Paula was able to connect patterns I had never fully linked together before. She didn't just focus on surface-level anxiety — she helped me understand the deeper architecture underneath it and how those patterns manifested across different systems — my career and life direction, my finances, and my health. It felt less like 'therapy' and more like someone finally seeing the full system clearly. One of the biggest realizations for me was recognizing how much my anxiety is tied to self-worth and fear of failure. I realized I don't really allow myself to make mistakes because every mistake feels catastrophic or identity-defining. That awareness alone reframed so much for me. Since working with Paula, I feel more centered and aware of patterns that don't serve me. Even early on, I felt a shift from 'What's wrong with me?' to 'Okay… now what do I actually do with this?' For the first time in a long time, I felt understood without feeling pathologized. The process gave language and structure to things I've felt for years but could never fully articulate. And most importantly, a roadmap to make the changes I need to live my most fulfilling life."

"I am a very highly functional person in my field and I am often perceived successful by my peers, but internally I always struggled that my personal compass was off. Whether you want to call it finding your own 'purpose' or 'alignment' or 'ikigai' or 'midlife crisis', living and working in a very competitive field in corporate America makes you lose identity and eventually that identity becomes fused to that of the company's. This in turns causes burnout and exhaustion. At least in my case. It is here when I started to ask questions and was lucky to get introduced to the brilliant work of Ms. Paula West. Paula is easily one of the safest and most relatable person you could have in a vulnerable conversation like this. Not only she's a great listener but she challenges you with timely and smart questions. What surprised me throughout my journey working with her is the many blind spots that I've missed about my life and habits. With her help and daring questions, I was able to recognize them on my own. One specific thing that I learned about myself through the process is how value-driven I am in my day-to-day life, let alone work, so it was a great reminder that I needed to reinstate those specific values in whatever I want to do next in my life. This alignment provided me with the right compass to navigate new territories in my career and passion in life. What I enjoyed the most about working with Paula is how things weren't prescribed to me by her. I didn't need directions. I needed to ask the right questions."

The Name

An ancient harbor,
rebuilt every time.

Senia is the Roman name of Senj, the oldest city on the upper Adriatic in Croatia. It's been inhabited continuously for more than 3,000 years and is the home of my family.

Senj is also the windiest city in Croatia. The Bura blows down the mountain pass and out through the harbor without warning at speeds of up to 125 miles per hour. To withstand the force, people build their houses with thick stone walls and no windows facing the mountains.

The Bura also cures meat and defines Croatian wine.

So the same wind that has flattened ships in the harbor, stripped walls bare, and forced entire generations to build differently is also what nourishes a nation.

The people of Senj learned to use the chaos. Not fight it. Use it.

I named this practice for Senj. Our work together is about finding your way back to your safe harbor, using the very winds that drove you off course to navigate home.

"The people of Senj learned to use the chaos. Not fight it. Use it."

The Founder

Paula Kosina West

MS, RDN, LD  ·  Systems Diagnostician

I built Senia following a corporate layoff. I was in the middle of a year-long resilience training cohort, was financially secure, healthy, had (and have) a great family and friend support system, and was still knocked off my center. I was angry. I was shocked. And my first reaction was to bolt in the direction of immediately finding a new job. If I could just fix everything, everything would go back to "normal."

But I didn't. I waited. I took steps to secure a good severance. I began my recovery from rotator cuff surgery I had just days after being laid off. I let my nervous system settle. I found new daily rhythms. And pretty soon the next steps began to present themselves.

In my quiet time, it became clear to me I wasn't the only one going through this even though I felt so isolated; like the world around me kept going without me. Then, slowly slowly, the gift began to reveal itself. In reorienting my life, I found myself instinctively working in three areas, and I didn't fully understand why until later.

I was rebuilding my health. Not just surgical rehab, but also nervous system rehab. I was rebuilding my wealth. My income changed in just one Zoom call, so I started to mobilize my resources, both financial and human. Taking pause allowed me to be still and get clear on my values, my talents, my desires. I understood the magnitude of my lifelong experience and how I could use this to build a framework for others.

Senia is built for you. And for me. You don't have to be going through a layoff for this work to help. It's for all of us. It will unearth parts of you that have remained hidden. What we identify as the problem is rarely the problem. It's usually the signal.

I hope you join me on this journey. It enriches my life so much to be of service. I hope my work equally enriches yours.

Work Together

Two ways to begin.

Ready to begin

Some people arrive ready to complete the full assessment. They book the Diagnostic Session and we start from there.

Self-Guided Audit

Others prefer an initial baseline read before committing to a full session. The Self-Guided Diagnostic is a targeted assessment completed independently. For $97, it calculates your Chaos Index score, evaluates your current system stability across Health, Wealth, and Wisdom, and delivers three concrete action items. It functions as a complete diagnostic deliverable, not a marketing preview, and credits toward your Diagnostic Session if scheduled within 30 days.

There's no required sequence. Both paths lead to the same place.
